RE: Handicap Access
To whom it may concern: September 7, 2008
This letter is in regards to handicap access at Iron Mountain Inn. During the past year we have stayed at the Lake Cottage and the Chalet six times.
I have ALS, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, and have no use of my arms and legs. I am totally confined to a motorized wheelchair and need to use a Hoyer Lift to transfer me to and from my chair for use of the toilet, showering, and putting me in bed.
Both the Lake Cottage and Chalet have ramps and wide doors for access to the facilities as well as large bathrooms with roll in showers. I can access the decks with my wheelchair and enjoy the outdoors.
I hope this letter will be helpful for other handicapped people who find it difficult to find accessible places to stay.
Sincerely,
Tom Mikolajcik
